Minimum Qualifications for Employment
- Must be a US Citizen
- Must be 18 or older
- Must be a graduate of an accredited high school or hold a GED
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable DMV record
- Must successfully complete written testing
- Must meet minimum standards of agility

- Negative drug screen
- Must complete the Hampton Roads Criminal Justice Training Academy’s Entry Level Jailor ‘s Academy within 1 year of employment
- Available to work day or night shifts
